Professional Bass Flute Shakuhachi | Prestige Series Wine Sakura | Key A3
The Prestige Series: Wine Sakura
Prestige represents our most exquisite lineage of shakuhachi flutes. It is a masterclass in elegance, where superior materials converge with the absolute zenith of high-tier lutherie.
Our limited-edition Wine Sakura release transcends mere performance, offering a transcendental voice, an impeccable finish, and an unrivaled stage presence. More than a flute, it is a masterpiece of profound sensitivity, rich sonority, and visual grace.
This instrument features our signature precision mouthpiece, embedded with our exclusive "Bat Mouth" design in a striking white hue that elegantly echoes the sakura flower motif, complemented by vibrant yet subtle white highlights adorning the bamboo rhizome. This innovative mouthpiece constitutes the hallmark of Zapata flutes, guaranteeing an optimal blowing experience, superior sound quality, and unparalleled aesthetics.
Customization and Unique Timbre
The Wine Sakura Prestige features a distinctive Jimori bore finish style—a meticulously calibrated hybrid acoustic profile that merges the natural internal contours of the bamboo with precision-crafted composite resin modeling. This innovative technique delivers flawless intonation while preserving the deep, resonant low-end character typical of traditional jinashi flutes, perfectly paired with the bright overtones and focused projection characteristic of a fully lined jiari interior finish. Together, these elements endow the instrument with a deeply organic, ancient timbral identity.
The internal coating and the tone of the bamboo bore is black color. All flutes receive a complete varnishing to ensure maximum durability and long-lasting protection of the instrument.
These shakuhachi are crafted from the finest selection root-end bamboo to create a perfect wind instrument with an unmatched tone that only the colombian bamboo can offer.
This bamboo has been grown at 1000-1400 meters altitude and strengthened by different temperatures for almost 3 years. Cured and dried for 2 years before the flute is handcrafted in a delicate and patient process personally performed by master Zapata to obtain a flute ready for concert, studio recording or home training practice.
The quality of this bamboo is characterized by the fact that it has been used by the Colombian construction industry for many years in large-scale architectural constructions due to its physical-mechanical properties as a renewable alternative to conventional materials.
The flutes have a natural balance given by the weight of the same thickness of bamboo with root end. The beauty of the serration of their roots is preserved to give an unique and beautiful aesthetic. Most of them have a natural curvature that beautifies the instrument in its design.
This flute includes: Certificate of authenticity, blowing and notation instructions sheet (fingering chart according to the key of the flute), Resistant cloth bag for the flute (Bag design may vary depending on availability). Flute stand sold separately.
Important Notice: The photographs display the exact instrument you will receive. Due to the organic nature of raw bamboo and our meticulous handcrafted process, every flute is a truly unique piece of art. Consequently, minor variations in color, tone, natural grain, and physical shape may occur between the final instrument and the reference images. These variations are inherent characteristics of organic materials and handmade craftsmanship, and do not constitute a defect or grounds for a "not as described" claim.
This product is custom-built to order using the available materials in our workshop for its manufacture and customization upon purchase. Therefore, it is strictly non-exchangeable and non-refundable. Please review our additional information regarding manufacturing and delivery times, as well as our full terms of service before completing your purchase.
