The public is hereby warned to exercise extreme caution and due diligence regarding search results on engines like Google, Bing, and others.

We have detected that unauthorized third parties are using our brand, the name Zapata Shakuhachi Mumon Ryu, our mutilated content in YouTube video tutorials, photos of our products (flutes and courses), and associated images and texts, for the purpose of misleading consumers and inducing clicks on fraudulent links. This information originates from individuals outside our organization who seek to deceive users regarding the shakuhachi or topics that are not within the scope of our community or our school.

This activity represents the actions of those who, lacking a legitimate offering, attempt to unlawfully capitalize on our prestige and intellectual property.

To protect our students and customers from digital fraud, we categorize and expose the primary technical tactics used by malicious actors:

1. Content Scraping & Plagiarism (Ladrones de Contenidos): The unauthorized extraction, copying, and republication of our instructional materials, book excerpts, video transcripts, and musical concepts. Scammers repost this intellectual property—often with omissions or distortions—attributing it to themselves to masquerade as authorities without genuine comprehension or original research.

2. Hotlinking & Image Bandwidth Theft (Robo de Recursos y Enlaces directos): A deceptive technique where fraudulent websites no longer host their own product images; instead, they embed our official photographs directly via URL (<img> linking straight to our servers). This creates a false illusion of inventory and stock using our exact atelier work without owning or manufacturing the items.

3. E-Commerce Phishing & Drop-Shipping Fraud (Sitios Web de Estafa): The creation of fraudulent e-commerce storefronts offering non-existent products at absurdly low discount prices. These sites exist solely to harvest sensitive user data, credit card information, and financial details during fake checkouts, with no intention or capability of delivering a product.

4. Product Counterfeiting & Brand Impersonation (Falsificaciones y Réplicas): The unauthorized manufacturing and sale of inferior imitation instruments falsely branded as our work—including fake shakuhachi flutes and uncertified Koumori mouthpiece replicas.
