The Mumon Series - Zapata Signature represents our premier collection of classical shakuhachi flutes, meticulously handcrafted from the finest selection of thick-walled, root-end bamboo. Each instrument is chosen for its superior resonance and is finished to preserve the elegant, organic aesthetic of its natural coloration.

This handcrafting process can take 10 to 30 days before it is fully packaged and shipped to your address. When choosing bass recorders from key A 2.3 and up, please indicate the location of your hands when holding the flute, this information will be used to locate the holes of the flute you are ordering.
Flutes Care
Wipe the flute with a cloth after playing, avoiding damaging the mouthpiece. Protect the utaguchi with a cap when not in use, and When not playing, store your flute in the cloth bag or case provided.
Avoid extreme changes in temperature and humidity. Our flutes are stored at 17°C and 85% humidity. Keep your flute out of direct sunlight and away from heaters and air conditioning vents. Store your flute in a temperature stable location.
