Our new generation of shakuhachi jinashi offer the internal coating technology of a thin inner layer of non-toxic varnish that protects the instrument and allows for better internal cleaning, preventing pathogens that saliva or other external agents can cause from lodging inside the tube, while preserving its rustic texture that keeps its authentic natural sound, a unique traditional earthy, dirty and bass oriented tone with medium and subdued treble.
You can choose between a natural mouthpiece or cutting-edge inlaid precision mouthpiece Ref. Koumori (Singing bat mouth). All-natural body varnished with the unique shades and color of Colombian bamboo.
Our Yoshin series have a perfect balance given by the weight of the root-end bamboo thickness. The beauty of its teeths (base of rhizome) of its roots is preserved to give an unique and beautiful aesthetic. These mostly have a natural little curvature that beautifies the instrument in its shape. Cured and dried for 2-years before the flute handcrafting work in a delicate and patient process done personally by master Zapata to obtain a flute ready for concert, studio recording or home study practice.
This bamboo has been cultivated at 1000-1400 meters of altitude and strengthened by different temperatures for almost 3 years. Strong bamboo that is used by the Colombian building industry for many years in large-scale architectural constructions due to its physical-mechanical properties as a renewable alternative to conventional materials.Product made of 100% Colombian materials.
The flute has the luthier's (Hanko) personal stamp on the reverse. Includes customized shipping box, cloth bag, certificate of authenticity, blowing and fingering notation instructions. The flute stand is sold separately.
